The Story- “Annalaxmi” aims to provide a permanent solution towards high inflation crisis in the retail market for consumable goods such as food grains & cereals which households purchase for their daily consumption. We at “Annalaxmi” like to cut all the unwanted middlemen and bring the product “Directly to Consumers” (D2C) at never seen before price points. Such a lean distribution strategy enables CPI deflation and helps improve the standard of living.
Brand Concept- “Annalaxmi” existence is to break the price supremacy of essential consumable household goods. Our research has indicated the majority of the Indian Supermarket Retail Giants charging an upward premium of 33% - 40% over and above for provisional products like food grains & cereals. The core idea of the brand is to get the product sorted and packaged using the most advanced sorting machinery. We want to bring the product directly to the consumer not just at the right price, but at unbelievable pricing which leads to a healthy lifestyle (Revolution is here). Annalaxmi’s supply chain ecosystem overtime has identified a major grey area in consumable goods that factors high inflation on consumer price index (CPI). The Story- The expansive menu at "Fu Jou" represents influences from Thailand, Vietnam, China, Japan, Malaysia & Indonesia. Drawing inspiration from popular delicacies across the landscape of the Orient, the menu includes signature sushi, dim sums and mains.
Logo Concept-
Why chopstick?
The Japanese word for "chopsticks" is hashi which is a homophone with the Japanese word meaning "bridge". Chopstick element in “Fu Jou” represents the bridge between humans and the divine. It was believed that when a pair of chopsticks was offered to a deity, the chopsticks became inhabited by that deity. When those chopsticks were used to eat the food that was offered along with them, mortal and immortal dined together.
Why ellipses?
The Ellipse element in “Fu Jou” represents the “Sun”, which is also one of the main Vedic God ‘Surya’ as per Hindu literature. The ‘Surya’ symbolizes Good fortune, Success, Longevity & Perseverance. The inspiration of this element came from the Deity at Konark temple in Odisha, also known as the Black Pagoda. The 4 Ellipse inside ‘The Surya’ indicates the 4th business addition.
Why abstract O?
The new/abstract O in “Fu Jou” was inspired from “Lord Vishnu” & “Lord Brahma” who both are one of the Trimurti as per Hinduism. The First symbol depicts the snakes which “Lord Vishnu” rests upon and called Kalswarup Seshnag, with Goddess Laxmi by his side. The second symbol depicts the Lotus Flower which “Lord Brahma” sits upon. The lotus blooms, uncovering the creator god Brahma in lotus position. Its unfolding petals suggest the expansion of the soul.
